MEET THE OWNER

Anne Hendrickson has been a social worker, a teacher, a dog trainer, and most recently left Corporate America to open Downtown Dogs. She is currently the Pet Columnist for WCCO.COM. She is known for her kind, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach to life.

Owning a dog daycare and boarding business is a dream come true for Anne as it combines her passion for caring for dogs, teaching, and learning. Anne is owned by 3 rescued dogs. Riley a German Wirehaired pointer mix, Ralphie, a shepard mix (probably), and Cobie, a Lab/Boarder Collie mix. Anne and her pack enjoy agility, flyball, and obedience.

SPECIAL THANKS!

There are many people without whom Downtown Dogs would never have come to be.

Joe Hendrickson
My brother, my friend. Without Joe's support, encouragement, and enthusiasm Downtown Dogs would never have been more than a passing thought. Joe guided me through the winding, uncertain path of becoming an entrepreneur. Joe worked as hard as I did in moving Downtown Dogs from dream to reality.

Diane, Jerry, Christy, Tom, and John Hendrickson
My family's love, support and encouragement throughout my life gave me courage in starting this venture. They helped with everything from cleaning my house, spending hours freezing at the dog park watching the dogs and promoting the business, and helping me through the legal logistics of signing a lease, and opening a business. They define what it means to be there for someone!

Jim Owen
Who offered me heartfelt support (and money) and took care of Riley for hundreds of hours while I went to class, did business planning and other work to get Downtown Dogs started.

Michelle Leisz
My friend and mentor. Michelle taught me more than any other single person about being a dog trainer and a dog mom!

Amy Gustofson
Who helped get the web site up and running and was the most helpful tech support ever!

Maureen Haggerty
Maureen's creativity, spunk, and attention to detail made marketing this business fun!

Riley
My baby. Riley helped me unlock my passion for dogs and motivated me to follow my dream! He reminds me each day of the importance of fun and play.
