PET ADOPTION

Downtown Dogs is immensely proud of our "Making it Pawsable" program. Each year we foster almost 100 homeless dogs. We act as a foster home for 3 animal rescue groups who work tirelessly to help pets who have been abandoned find loving, dedicated forever families. Of course there is always more animals needing homes than there are adoptive families and foster homes so the groups must turn away many pets in need. Our participation with these groups allows them to take in and help more animals. If you are adding a new furry family member consider rescuing a dog.

Meet Jezzabel

Jezzie's personality is as adorable as she is. This girl is full of love to give and eager to please. Jezzie came to Underdog when she was very pregnant. She was picked up by Prior Lake Animal Control and had been on the run for some time. This poor pregnant girl may have been turned out or may have been risking everything to protect her puppies. Jezzie was a good mama and her pups are all weaned and adopted or in foster care. Jezzie has been spayed and is now enjoying the dogs and people at Downtown Dogs while she waits for a home to give her what she's never had.

If you are interested in Jezzie visit her Petfinder page to learn more about the adoption process.

Meet Shadow!

Shadow is a very sweet girl. She was surrendered from a situation where a young owner brought her home without thinking it all the way through. His room mates did not want a dog so she was forced to never leave his room. Finally the owner saw what a poor quality of life he was giving her and surrendered her to Pet Haven in hopes of giving her a better life. Due to her isolation and poor socialization she becomes stressed in new situations but she does work through it with a little time and patience. She plays well with the other daycare dogs. If you are interested in giving Shadow a good home and a good life check out her petfinder bio to learn more.

Meet Holmes!

As in Holmes, Sherlock Holmes. Little Holmes is a sweet 4-6 month old pit bull mix puppy with cherry brindle markings. He enjoys playing with the other puppies and already has an old, wise way about him. He is affectionate and adorable. If you are interested in making Holmes a family member visit his Petfinder Page

Meet Crocket!

Crocket is an adorable Akita/Pit Bull mix puppy. He is very busy, friendly and outgoing. However he is also a good patient boy in his crate. He has a lovely brindle coat. He will likely be 60-80 lbs when full grown. If you are interested in making Crocket part of your life and your family check out his petfinder page.

Meet KIPPER!

Kipper is being fostered by Small Dog Rescue. They asked us to post his info in hopes of helping him find the perfect home. Kipper is a purebred Sealyham Terrier. Kipper is house trained and knows basic obedience commands. He is a typical terrier-ist and as such enjoys terrierizing cats. He needs a home with a strong, loving but firm adult leader and without children or other pets. He is athletic and would make a great running or walking partner. To learn what a Sealyham Terrier is click here. For information on adopting Kipper visit his pet finder page. Please note: This dog is not fostered through Downtown Dogs and the employees don't have any information regarding his adoption. Interested families must contact Small Dog Rescue.

MIA & RICO

Mia and Rico are a pair and have lived together their whole lives. They are extremely bonded so Small Dog is placing them together.

These are sweet little guys that are house trained, kennel trained and enjoy the neighbor children. Mia is a cat chaser. Both Mia and Rico are trying to lose weight and need a home that will regulate their food and treat intake. Like many of us they quite adore food but obesity is very dangerous on a tiny little frame so for their own comfort and safety they must lose the weight and keep it off. Interested families must contact Small Dog Rescue. Downtown Dogs employees have no information on these dogs. We just have them on our website to help give them exposure and find their perfect match.
