JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Dog Handler

Hours: Varies, applicants need a flexible schedule. Full and part time available. Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Salary: Starts at $8.00 to $10.00 an hour depending on experience, availability, and employment status (full or part time)

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vacation, Retirement available to full time employees

Description:
The work itself has 3 components:

1. Dog supervision –
This includes supervising and managing to a harmonious play group. It is fun if you are interested in dogs and enjoy being with them. It is also a lot of clean up. It should be noted that this work is VERY physically taxing. Applicants have to be very mentally and physically active on their feet for 4-8 hours at a stretch and be able to lift 50 pounds regularly through the day.

2. Customer service –
It is important to like people because there is lots of customer interaction in person and on the phone.

3. Cleaning –
Vacuuming, power scrubbing, mopping, dusting etc.

Dog handling is the kind of job where you get out of it what you put into it. You can learn a ton and have a lot of fun and a lot of job satisfaction if the work is up your alley. Our employees have gone on to be trainers vet techs, vet students etc.

Swing/Evening Manager

Position: Swing/Evening Manager

Full time – non standard schedule
Description:
Provide leadership to dog handlers that ensures the best possible care for dogs and human customers through:

  • Order
  • Cleanliness
  • Customer Service
  • Staff  Support

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of dog behavior
  • Positive “Can-do!” attitude
  • Thrives in a fast paced/changing work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong leader (ability to use judgment, delegate, and be supportive)
  • Good decision maker
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to be on feet for 8 hours at a stretch
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to run/move/react quickly
  • Love dogs

  • Computer competence to use various software, and internet, and e-mail

Preferred Qualifications

  • CVT or equivalent

Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on their feet and active for 8 hours at a stretch.

Cleaner

Hours: Daily 9AM to 1PM (these hours are typically broken up over 2 cleaners)
Wage:
$9.00/hour
Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a sanitary environment for dog daycare/kennel housing over 100 dogs per day
  • Vacuuming
  • Power-washing
  • Power scrubbing
  • Scrubbing fences, posts, columns, walls and other surfaces
  • Cleaning exercise yards
  • Deep cleaning kennels
  • Identifying and working with management to close any cleaning gaps

Required qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic
  • Enjoys and gets satisfaction from cleaning
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to produce quality work in an efficient and timely manor
  • Very detail focused and thorough in work
  • Enjoys change
  • Highly reliable
